In addition to your main services, you can offer gift vouchers, which will enable you to vary your range of products and attract more and more customers, thus generating more and more income.
A gift voucher is a credit of a defined value that can be used freely in your establishment.
A gift card, on the other hand, is linked to a specific service. For example, a special Valentine's gift card generally includes services such as drinks and meals (champagne, gourmet basket, etc.), in addition to accommodation.
To get started, go to the Gift vouchers tab on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click on the Add a gift voucher button at the top right of your screen.
First, you'll need to define the basic details of your gift certificate:
Name
The value (in €)
The number of gift vouchers of this type that you wish to sell
Description (optional)
The period of validity
The visual
The Publication tab will then allow you to decide on the publication dates and distribution methods for your gift token.
At the time of purchase, customers will receive an email confirming their booking and a second email, specific to the gift voucher purchased, which they can forward to the person of their choice.
The final step is to publish the gift voucher, using the Actions button at the top right of your screen.

In the Ordered by tab, you will finally find the list of customers who have purchased the gift voucher.

What you need to know
It is not possible to charge tax on a gift voucher, as it is considered to be a means of payment and not a service in the strict sense (like a reservation).
If a virtual Eftpos terminal is used, the gift voucher must be cashed using the Prepaid total payment method.
The creation of gift vouchers is possible with all subscription levels, but only the Magic subscription level allows the automatic generation of unique codes for your customers, enabling them to enter these codes directly and independently when creating their reservation.
With the Startup or Connect subscription levels, customers will contact you and provide you with the file number linked to their gift voucher, to obtain the deduction due.
