How do I create an option?

In addition to your main services, you can create optional extras: massage, bike hire, tasting of local produce, etc. There are many complementary activities and they can represent a significant proportion of your turnover.

To get started, go to the My options tab on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click on the Add an option button at the top right of your screen.

You will first be able to define the name of the option, the quantity and its descriptive elements.

The Prices tab will allow you to decide whether to associate the option with one or more hosting packages, and then to set the price.

You will then be able to choose whether to require the option to be booked for the entire duration of the stay (e.g. sheet hire) or to allow your customers to choose the date on which the service is to be provided (e.g. table d'hôtes).

Note that the following types of option can be used to refine the description using

new fields:

  • Activity

  • Other

With these option types, you will be able to specify in addition :

  • Duration

  • Level of difficulty

  • Minimum and maximum age

  • Minimum and maximum height

  • Minimum and maximum weight

  • Whether the activity is suitable for pregnant women and people with heart problems

  • Whether the activity has time slots

These types of option also allow you to add timetables.

Next, you can insert one or more photos.

Finally, the Expert Mode tab is detailed in this dedicated article.

Your option is now created: you can move on to the shop products.

What you need to know

  • The quantity of an option corresponds to the total number of options you can sell in a day or in a slot (if you define slots).

  • You can create 5 options with the Startup subscription, 10 options with the Basic subscription, 15 options with the Connect subscription and 30 options with the Magic subscription.

  • OTAs (Airbnb, Booking, Expedia, Abritel-Vrbo, etc.) are not currently able to retrieve the options created on your elloha account.
