In addition to your main services, you can offer gift cards, which will enable you to vary your product range and attract more and more customers, thus generating more and more revenue!
The gift card is linked to a specific service. For example, a special Valentine's gift card generally includes services such as drinks and meals (champagne, table d'hôtes, shuttle service, etc.), in addition to accommodation.
A gift voucher, on the other hand, is a credit of a defined value that can be used freely in your establishment.
To start, go to the Gift Cards tab on the left-hand side of your screen. Then click on the Add a gift card button at the top right of your screen.
First, you'll need to define the basic details of your gift card:
Name
The value (in €)
The number of gift cards of this type you wish to sell
Description (optional)
What the price does and does not include
Period of validity
The visual
The Applicable offers tab will allow you to select the services for which you wish to use the gift card.
The Publication tab will then allow you to decide on the publication dates for your gift card.
In the Ordered by tab, you'll find the list of customers who have purchased the gift card.
The final step is to publish the gift card, using the Actions button at the top right of your screen.
When the gift card is purchased, the customer will receive an email confirming their booking and a second email, specific to the gift card purchased, which they can give to the person of their choice.

What you need to know
It is impossible to charge tax on a gift card, as it is considered to be a means of payment and not a service in its own right (unlike a reservation for accommodation).
In the case of a virtual Eftpos terminal, the gift card must have the Prepaid total payment mode.
The creation of gift cards is possible with all subscription levels, but only the Magic subscription level enables the automatic generation of unique codes for your customers, enabling them to enter these codes directly and independently when creating their reservation.
With the Startup, Basic or Connect subscription levels, customers will contact you and provide you with the file number linked to their gift card, to obtain the deduction due.
