📌 This article answers the following questions:
- How does the elloha booking calendar work and what is it used for?
- How can I view my availability, prices and check-ins all on one screen?
- Where do I start when setting up my booking calendar?
- How do I manage my seasons, distribution channels and prices from the booking calendar?
Making your life easier: a ‘single-view’ calendar provides invaluable day-to-day support, as you can track your ‘bookings’, adjust your prices in real time based on your ‘occupancy’, or even close off specific distribution channels depending on your strategy. With elloha, you avoid having to switch back and forth between your different calendars because we’ve solved the tricky problem of displaying everything on a single screen.
1 – Multiple calendars on a single screen
Your new elloha calendar has been designed to give you an overview of your seasons, prices and availability (as well as arrivals!) and provides handy shortcuts to turn that overview into action:
Is your occupancy rate lagging? Launch a promotion and see how guests react!
Are your bookings going well? Why not limit your presence on OTAs and prioritise your ‘direct channel’?
Your multi-view calendar allows you to:
Manage your availability and rates:
on a day-to-day basis,
for a specific period (several days, several months, a season),
for your holiday let as a whole and your options,
Manage your distribution channels:
By opening or closing a particular channel,
On specific days or during specific periods,
Manage your check-ins:
Who is arriving on a particular day,
Through which channel did they book,
What are the details of their booking
Manage your seasons:
Create your own seasons:
Don’t limit yourself to the standard ‘low, mid and high’ seasons,
Create seasons tailored to your organisation,
Align them with school holiday calendars across Europe if necessary,
Create specific periods,
Apply seasonal rates to save time
2 – Where to start?
When you’re taking your ‘first steps’ in your elloha account, follow this exact order so you don’t miss anything and can get the most out of your schedule:
Seasons tab – Create your periods: by default, your ‘initial’ calendar consists of a single season called ‘Average’: at this stage, you can set your prices without creating a new season or, alternatively, create your seasons for the coming months before doing anything else,
Availability & Prices tab – Set your availability:
Go to Availability & Prices and set your availability on a day-by-day basis, either directly in the fields provided for this purpose or by using the Actions function on the right-hand side of your screen to select several days at once
Availability & Prices tab (continued) Set your prices:
You can set your prices on a day-by-day basis, directly on the calendar,
or use the ‘Actions’ function to set your prices for periods spanning several days or by season,
Arrivals tab: see everything at a glance
With every new booking, your calendar automatically updates with your guest’s name, the number of nights booked and a direct link to their booking details, showing the amounts due, the original booking channel, the guest’s contact details, etc.
3 – My Daily Calendar
Check your occupancy rate as often as you need to on your desktop or mobile calendar,
Depending on your performance, adjust your prices up or down in real time, open or close your sales channels, and relax or tighten your booking conditions (minimum/maximum stay, etc.)
Edit your arrival schedule and view the amounts still to be collected from your guests before or upon their arrival,
With the new elloha calendar, you’ll save time and work more efficiently in your day-to-day operations!
